Q. What do you use to color your pictures?
A.
Most often I use Prismacolor and Letraset Tria markers. I sometimes
use Prismacolor pencils, watercolor or acrylic paint.
Q.
How are you able to finish so much artwork all the time?
A.
I get asked this a lot! The truth is that drawing is my job
right now! I consider myself to be a "freelance artist."
I even file Federal taxes on my earnings from commissions and
Furbid. I try to aim for 2 finished drawings a day and work
like I have a regular work schedule. It's always been a dream
of mine to make a living off my artwork and I'm grateful to
be able to live this dream. I love bringing other people's ideas
to life through commissions and I'm glad that my art is out
in the world being enjoyed by others, so I love the selling
aspect of art for those reasons. Being able to draw so often
lets me create stories with my artwork. Hmmm... I also work
quickly and efficiently. Hope that answers the question. *hides*
Q.
I'd like to put some of your pictures on my webpage / gallery
/ whatever. Would that be OK?
A. If you'd like to add my pictures to your website, zine, whatever,
that is pretty much OK with me with some restrictions. You
must let me know you're going to do this and you must credit
me. In addition, you MUST add my email address
and a link back to my website (or for a zine, just print
the info under my pic). Otherwise, I'll consider it copyright
infringement. If you are planning on making money off these
images (paysite or whatever) I should be getting paid for them.
Don't put my images on paysites unless you're cutting me in.
Basically, I want to know where the art is going. I reserve
the right to refuse my art to anyone at any time.
Q.
Could I draw any of your characters?
A.
I like to see other people draw my characters, so I'll most
often say "yes." Please ask me if this will be OK
first.
Q.
Is there a list of what you won't draw?
A. Yes. Here it is:
I will not draw:
Child pornography; pictures where abuse or killing for fun is
being carried out; racist crap; anything that involves hate
for another group of people (or furs); extreme self mutilation;
sex with real, non-anthropomorphized, "actual" animals;
vore; suicide pictures.

Areas Cleared Up
As you can see, I really stay away from violence, so unless
you've got a a character who's maybe in the Army or something
and he/she's fighting in the trenches, being tortured by the
enemy or it's like something out of a sci-fi or kung-fu movie,
don't ask.
Isn't bondage and S/m violence? Not always. There are many very loving relationships where the couples are involved in S/m. They have a safeword and only go as far as the other wants--no further. No one gets hurt permanantly. It's play and that's OK in my book.
Rule of thumb: If it's violent and doesn't tell part of a story and permanent damage or death is the result, I'll say no. Violence for the sake of violence is stupid. I won't draw it.
If you're not sure if your idea falls into the gray area, ask me and I'll try to work it out with you.
Q.
Can I color any of your black and white pictures?
A. Sure. Knock yourself out. You can even put the colored picture
on your site. All I ask is that you give me credit for the b/w
part, put a link to me on your site and show me the finished
piece, 'cause I think it would be cool to see your coloring.
:)
Q.
What is Xenosexual? Is there a story behind it?
A. Xenosexual means someone who is oriented towards loving and
having sex with aliens. I first thought about it after reading
Rebecca Ore's series of books. One is called Being Alien.
The main character is called Clay. It's very interesting. One
of the characters get involved with one of the aliens. I was
shocked at the time, but after I thought about it I dedcided
that it wasn't really that weird. One could call Amanda from
Star Trek xenosexual, since she falls in love with a Vulcan.
I just thought there should be a word to express that kind of
love, just like there is a word for heterosexual and homosexual.
I like to think that I coined it, but I'm sure I didn't. Lots
of people seems to have thought of the word. :)
The story behind the series, "Xenosexual" involves Kyo, who is a super intelligent human and an experiment from Earth. I guess he's kind of like Jared, from the Pretender, only he's smarter! ;) He builds a starship and escapes from Earth at a young age, taking his parents with him (who are also in trouble). They travel together for a long time. They are the only humans in space really. Finally, his parents settle on a very nice star-base and Kyo continues his travels. He's much older now. When visiting the galactic homeworld of the Seelies, Kyo meets Sukhe, the heir to the Seelie empire. Seelies are hermaphrodites, predators, and very sophisticated. They also permanently bond to their mates. Kyo gets involved with Sukhe, and the bond takes. This is very tragic for both of them, because Kyo is an explorer and doesn't want to stay in the Seelie system and Sukhe can't leave his empire. Eventually Kyo leaves, but the bond can always be felt.
There are more stories in the series, but none currently exist. I lost all of my old stories. However, sometimes, I like to draw the pictures from the series. Kyo is faithful to Sukhe only in his heart, and as the series continues, he gets involved with other aliens. He even has a son who eventually travels with him, named Spider. His other travelling companion is his ship's computer, Bastian. In the future, Kyo will settle down with Sukhe and live happily ever after. But like I said, the story is all in my own mind. :) I'm just now starting to get it out. Check out this page here, but be aware there's adult content on it!
